Welcome
My railway interest started at age 8 or so with a wind-up OO Hornby set which progressed to electric on 6'x4' board under my bed. A couple of trips to York Railway Museum in late 70's are good memories - both of the long journey from London and the place itself..wish I'd had a camera then. Holidays at Teignmouth in the late 1970's meant a chance to watch close up as loco hauled and then HST's went by.
Both my granddads were loco drivers - LNER toplink driver out of Kings Cross and the other on the LMS.
